MJDAY2012

In my celebration of Michael Jackson's birthday, which I've always referred to as MJDAY. And I've have recognized every year since my childhood. My bestie, Carm Carmm knows this all to well from our silly MJ Parties when we were 14 years old LOL! This year I am depressed, bc I am caught at home rather than celebrating at his childhood home with fans from all over the region, as well as afar and abrouad. Where his Mother and children are doing a meet and greet this evening at 8pm central time) rumored to be lead in speech by Latoya Jackson. Then Nik can't stand my love of Mike's story, personal meaning and memory, but I am lighting a candle every year for him. I think it's a nice thing to do for my Mother and other loved ones alike though and will make this my own tradition. Hell candles are nice anyway, shamone. Anyhoo, this link, this letter in particular, has always struck a chord in me from the moment it hit the newsstands way back in the late 80s found under a hotel room pillow while on the Bad Tour. I've always related to the nature of his being, I guess like the man in the mirror. But I've heard many others describe the same spiritual connection on so many levels. More than just the soundtrack of my life, the man is just more than music or dance. And this is not too awful a cover might I add in the link, I just think they could had selected another and perhaps more fitting song. Although Billie Jean is a good reminder of the total package. This man-child was a genius! But he was a human being none the less. On behalf of mankind, I am forever upholding this man who was full of goodness and love, and dedicated his entirety to promoting that. More than just lyrics in a song, but in true action time after time. I guess if I could chose one song to play with this, it would have to be 'Bless His Soul" (from The Jacksons Destiny album). This is early vintage MJ! And, considering the time, looking back - prophetic. One of his most autibiographical, if it just isn't the Very! I urge if you read this far to go ahead, search and check it out. If you don't recognize the man in the mirror, you'll at least come away with one hell of a classic, in my opinion. Although maybe I could open more than ears or eyes, but hearts! Perhaps see what we once held, but either didn't realize or recognize and inevitably lost in physical being.
